Supervisory Surface Maintenance Specialist
As a SUPERVISORY SURFACE MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), GS-1601-11, you will exercise administrative and technical supervision over one or more surface maintenance facilities, e.g., CSMS, MATES, UTES and/or FMS; plan and schedule work to be accomplished by subordinates; set and adjust short-term priorities; develop, implement, and oversee the quality assurance program for assigned surface maintenance facilities; review work instructions, technical data, inspection methods, and test procedures to ensure adequacy;
review quality and flow of materials and supplies required to support maintenance activities; provide technical guidance to assigned maintenance activities through coordinated assistance or evaluation visits; oversee hazardous waste/industrial hygiene programs for maintenance facilities supervised. Identifies special tools, test equipment requirements, and coordinates procurement as needed.
