Dual Licensed Water​/Wastewater Operator

• Participate in daily operations and maintenance of three water treatment and one wastewater treatment facilities.
• Operate, monitor and adjust plant processes and equipment manually and via SCADA automation.
• Perform water quality sampling, testing and analysis to ensure compliance with federal, state and EPA standards.
• Conduct routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and backup equipment operation.
• Use software programs for maintenance work orders and record‑keeping.
• Assist field crew with water and sewer break response, meter changes, valve exercising and hydrant flushing.
• Perform general maintenance tasks at the plant and other assigned duties, including meter reading and grounds upkeep.
• Respond to emergency events, alarm callouts, and standby duty as scheduled.
• Maintain on‑call schedule and receive weekly incentive compensation ($200 per week on call).

• Monday – Friday, 5‑day week, eight‑hour days with a lunch break (7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).
• Flexibility for extended shifts during seasonal demand and availability for evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Florida Class "C" Drinking Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license.
• Dual certification in Water and Wastewater is an added benefit.
• Ability to obtain a Florida DOT Medical Card for commercial vehicle operation.
• Sound decision‑making in process control, ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.
• Completion of DOT background check, pre‑placement physical and drug screen prior to employment.

$24.00 – $32.59 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Annual project and safety bonuses are available.
