The Best Luxury Homes on the Gulf Coast Don’t Maintain Themselves.
Behind every five-star guest review — the ones that mention how everything was perfect, how nothing went wrong, how the house just worked — there’s a skilled technician who made it that way.
At 30A Luxury Vacations, we manage some of the most exceptional vacation properties along Florida’s Emerald Coast. We’re locally owned, we know this community, and we hold ourselves to a standard that most companies only claim. That standard is built and maintained by people like you.
We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician who takes real pride in their craft — and who understands that in the luxury space, the bar is simply higher.
A Different Kind of Maintenance RoleThis isn’t apartment maintenance. The guests staying in our properties are discerning travelers who paid a premium to be here — and they notice everything. The homeowners trusting us with their assets have invested significantly in them and expect a management partner who treats their properties with the same care they would.
That shapes everything about how we operate. We don’t wait for things to break. We maintain them so they don’t. Preventative maintenance is the backbone of our approach — you’ll know these properties intimately, stay ahead of seasonal needs, and catch issues before a guest ever notices one.
Think about everything that exists inside a luxury home — every appliance, every system, every fixture, every lock, every piece of equipment. There are thousands of individual data points across our portfolio, and we don’t leave any of them to chance. We use sophisticated property management software to track, schedule, and maintain each one — so we can get ahead of issues, protect our owners’ investments, and ensure our guests never experience the kind of problem that ends up in a review.
As a technician, you are an active steward of that data — and the standard of living it represents.
Clean and professional is our baseline — in how our properties look, how our work is documented, and how our team presents itself.
A Word About the ScheduleWe’re in the hospitality business. That means we work when other people vacation. Weekends are a regular part of this role, and holidays can be a workday too — because that’s when guests are checking in and our properties need to be flawless. We structure the team’s schedule as fairly as we can and make sure there’s protected time to recharge.
If you take pride in being the person who shows up when it matters, you’ll feel right at home here.
You’ll be a front-line expert across a portfolio of luxury homes — keeping everything guest-ready, responding decisively when something needs attention, and proactively protecting the properties you’re entrusted with.
- Executing preventative maintenance schedules across all assigned properties — HVAC filter programs, pool cleanliness and equipment checks, plumbing inspections, A/V system audits, lock and hardware reviews, and more
- Conducting detailed property inspections before each guest arrival — your trained eye is the final quality check
- Performing a full range of skilled repairs: HVAC servicing, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, painting, drywall, carpentry, door and lock work
- Troubleshooting A/V systems, smart home technology, and WiFi — in a luxury rental, a tech failure is a maintenance failure
- Responding to guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally — the way you show up reflects directly on our brand
- Collaborating across teams — working in close coordination with property managers, housekeeping, reservations, and outside vendors, all aligned around the same daily, weekly, and seasonal goals
- Documenting all work clearly in our systems so every team member has what they need
The Skills That Set You Apart
We value depth across home systems. We don’t expect you to be an expert in all of these, but working knowledge across any of the following is a genuine advantage — and the broader your skillset, the stronger your candidacy:
- HVAC — routine servicing, filter programs, seasonal prep, diagnostics, and an understanding of how these systems behave in coastal Florida climates
- Plu…
