Director Of Accountability

The Director of Accountability is responsible for directing all aspects of the State reporting. Provide information and serve as a resource to leadership and staff, evaluating, developing, implementing data protocols for internal monitoring, analysis, and uploading to the State in compliance with school code and State metrics. The Director of Accountability will serve as district lead for the calculations of all State report card metrics and as a liaison between the Information Technology Department and Curriculum and Instruction Department guiding data collection, assessment corrections, attendance and enrollment data, course assignment data, and the data involved in the continual cycle of improvement process to foster a data culture within the district.

Qualifications/

Experience:

Must possess or be eligible to meet and maintain proper certification as established by state law and the Illinois State Board of Education (Type 75). Must possess administrative experience. Has demonstrated the leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, teachers and parents. Must be able to interpret educational policy, procedures and data. Must possess strong organizational, communication (written and oral), public relations and interpersonal skills.

Must possess strong technological skills and data platform expertise.

Essential Job Functions:

• Facilitate effective meetings, provide results-oriented staff development; promote effective collaborative team protocols in data analysis.
• Serve as the district SIS lead, maintain and upload all data for the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
• Develop a comprehensive progress monitoring data dashboard for interventions and supports.
• Arrange and facilitate district and school data leadership meetings.
• Work with school and district leadership teams to establish a cycle for data collection, analysis, evaluation and reporting processes.
• Plan and participate in training sessions for data input in district systems and use of data from Power School.
• Attend all District Leadership Team meetings and assist in leading the District Improvement Planning.
• Collect and analyze school data for district level reporting from a variety of sources and teams including, but not limited to, Collaborative Teams (PLC), School Leadership, MTSS and Student Support Teams.
• Develop a comprehensive, systemic approach to analyzing data relevant to mandated school reporting via multiple district platforms prior to uploading into Power School and other district data platforms.
• Plan and provide professional development for data collection, management and analysis for staff, parents and leadership.
• Ability to develop and articulate vision and goals for school-wide accountability measures and data discussions.
• Ability to create and implement systems for program administration, including data collection, organization, and visualizations.
• Oversees data collection from common formative assessments (CFAs) and progress monitoring data to create visualizations and to identify district-wide trends.
• Provide training and technical assistance on data platforms as needed.
• Create and manage the data resource portal for district-wide reports related to pertinent behavior, attendance, grade, assessment, and other data points.
• Responsible for data oversight connected to academic and behavioral platforms. (Power School, Panorama, Mastery Manager, Aims Web Plus, ALEKs, NWEA MAP, PSAT, ACT, PreACT, IB (Toddle), Advanced Placement, etc.)
• Supports Collaborative Team and District Leads data collection and review process.
• Allocates time and resources effectively.
• Supports instructional staff's engagement in professional development.

Skills and/or experiences required:
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with Power School and Student Information System (SIS), Illinois Interactive Report Card, Data Quality Dashboard (DQD), and other student data Management systems. Familiarity with the ISBE IWAS and SIS reporting systems. Familiarity with all Illinois Learning Standards, Illinois School Code and State Reporting guidance.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Work Calendar: 12-month, 260-day position

Salary: $150,000/year
