Position: English Teacher (1.0 FTE)

SALARY:
Per negotiated agreement

TRS, insurance, and leave time (sick and personal)

  • Deliver engaging, rigorous English Language Arts instruction aligned to Illinois Learning Standards.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
  • Collaborate with colleagues through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to improve student learning.
  • Use student achievement data to inform instruction and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
  • Build strong partnerships with students, families, and colleagues to support student success.

Position Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, rigorous English Language Arts instruction aligned to Illinois Learning Standards.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
  • Collaborate with colleagues through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to improve student learning.
  • Use student achievement data to inform instruction and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
  • Build strong partnerships with students, families, and colleagues to support student success.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate English Language Arts endorsement.
  • Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to equity, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in English, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), Honors, or Dual Credit English courses.
  • Experience implementing culturally responsive teaching practices and differentiated instruction.
  • Demonstrated success using assessment data to improve student outcomes.
  • Experience integrating instructional technology to enhance student learning.
  • Active participation in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and collaborative instructional planning.
