Description

$5000 Hiring Bonus available after 120 days employed. We are a family‑owned scrap recycling company seeking an experienced Second Shift Lead Maintenance Mechanic to oversee equipment maintenance and support operations during second shift. This role is hands‑on and ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and keeping a fast‑paced operation running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform general maintenance on outdoor machinery
  • Weld, fabricate, and torch with precision
  • Lead a team and communicate effectively via email and basic computer tools
  • Keep essential recycling equipment operating—supporting American manufacturing and infrastructure

Qualifications
  • Fabrication – expert
  • Interpersonal – expert, interacts effectively with others
  • Physical abilities:
    • Crawl, crouch, lift up to 50 lbs – novice
    • Regular sit, stand, walk, climb/balance – expert
    • Regular reach, push, pull, stoop, kneel – expert
  • High School/GED or better in General Studies
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience (preferred)
