OverviewRole involves data center white space support for IT infrastructure, including monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting, and day-to-day maintenance as defined by client service level agreements. Responsibilities include site rounds and using event monitoring systems to provide notifications and escalations during outages.
Work ScheduleEither front half day or back half days: 7am–7pm or 7pm–7am.
Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
- Complete planned and ad-hoc preventive maintenance involving engineering, mechanical, and maintenance trades.
- Conduct periodic inspections of building systems (HVAC, electrical distribution) and maintain equipment rooms for clean and safe conditions.
- Rapid response and management of indoor emergencies and air quality concerns.
- Create, close, and track work requests; initiate or respond to work orders and verify completion.
- Monitor performance and deficiencies of service contractors and recommend changes as necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Support data center services including colocation, connectivity, and deployment of additional services.
- Serve as operational contact for data center customers, vendors, and carriers related to colocation and network services.
- Assist with internal IT infrastructure tasks under guidance of the Network/Engineering Infrastructure Manager and IT Manager.
- Install IT and network hardware and test cable paths in IT/telecommunications rooms.
- Coordinate access and work with third-party contractors and vendors for cabling and equipment installations.
- Assist in offsite points of presence and maintenance of infrastructure and network equipment.
- 0–2 years of related experience in operation, installation, and maintenance of data center equipment and building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, controls).
- High school diploma or GED and two+ years’ experience in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers (feeders, transformers, generators, switch gear, UPS, PDU/PMM, chillers, AHUs, CRAC units).
- Good observation skills and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and to climb ladders; stand for long periods; bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment tasks.
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity; clear vision with or without correction while wearing safety glasses.
- Ability to differentiate color-coded signs and work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Ability to work in high-noise environments with hearing protection; valid driver’s license for travel as required.

Compensation DisclosureThe base pay range for this role is $92,788.45 – $ per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay upon hire based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Final compensation will be determined by job-related factors and applicable law.
