MGC Pure Chemicals America, Inc. is an expanding and stable chemical manufacturing ISO certified company, located in the Mesa/Queen Creek Arizona area, Forest Grove, Oregon and Killeen, Texas.

Overview:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance activities supporting both process equipment and facility infrastructure in a high-purity chemical manufacturing environment. This position ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing systems through effective maintenance planning, execution, asset reliability, personnel development, and risk management.

This position supports a 24/7/365 manufacturing operation and is responsible for coordinating maintenance resources to meet production, safety, quality, environmental, and business objectives.

Duties / Responsibilities:


Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate maintenance technicians.
  • Establish performance expectations and hold employees accountable for safety, quality, attendance, and productivity.
  • Support employee development through training and mentoring.
  • Coordinate contractor activities and ensure compliance with site requirements.
Maintenance & Reliability
  • Manage maintenance activities for process equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
  • Plan, prioritize, schedule, and execute routine and non-routine maintenance work.
  • Develop, manage, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Utilize CMMS systems to manage work orders, PMs, asset history, and maintenance records.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
  • Provide technical support during operational upsets and emergency maintenance situations.
Asset & Inventory Management
  • Manage maintenance inventory and critical spare parts.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and asset life.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with company safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Conduct appropriate risk assessments before maintenance activities and operational changes.
  • Exercise sound judgment and align decisions with company policies, procedures, and risk expectations.
  • Escalate issues when risks are unclear, information is incomplete, or when additional expertise is required.
  • Ensure compliance with LOTO, confined space, hot work, and other critical safety programs.
  • Support incident investigations, corrective actions, Management of Change (MOC), and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Create, maintain, and improve maintenance procedures, work instructions, and PM documentation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment histories.
  • Track and report maintenance performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to assess risk and make sound decisions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, utility, and facility systems.
  • Experience managing maintenance planning, scheduling, and PM programs.
  • Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands and support a 24/7 operation.
Education & Experience
