Daytime Custodian

- Schedule:

Monday - Friday 35 - 40 hours per week, with some flexibility on exact hours
- Hourly Wage: $17.00 – $20.00

Director of Buildings and Grounds

Job Summary:

Provide a safe, clean facility for students, staff, and visitors forms work cleaning and maintaining school building interiors and exteriors, and related work as apparent or assigned. Responsibilities include routine and project cleaning, basic maintenance, snow removal, security and other duties.

Essential Functions:

Wash down bathrooms using appropriate cleaning materials and detergents
Mixture and disposal of cleaning materials in a safe and secure manner
Vacuum and shampoo carpets; scrub, wax, and strip floors of all facilities
Operate power tools as needed
Repair furniture including chairs, desks and tables
Restock supplies in bathrooms and other areas as needed
Properly dispose of all trash from all areas of the school
Clean and disinfect cafeteria sinks and clean drinking fountains
Handle minor repair and maintenance activities such as bulb replacement and floor buffing
Shovel snow and salt sidewalks

Qualifications:

- Experience Preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Basic Computer Skills
- Ability to travel between worksites

Preferred Qualifications:

- Spanish or Mandarin language proficiency
