Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician
When production stops, you're the person everyone looks to.
You don't wait for someone else to solve the problem—you find it, fix it, and get production running again.
If you have experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, electrical controls, PLCs, drives, and facility systems in a manufacturing environment, we'd like to talk with you.
Standard Fiber is seeking an experienced Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician to lead our maintenance team and support the continued operation of our manufacturing facility. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for maintaining production equipment, minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring our facility operates safely and efficiently.
If you enjoy diagnosing complex equipment problems, leading by example, and making a measurable impact every day, this may be the opportunity you're looking for.
What You’ll Do- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Perform electrical diagnostics, PLC troubleshooting, and equipment repairs.
- Develop, perform, and improve preventative maintenance programs.
- Coordinate repairs with Production, Warehouse, and Operations teams.
- Maintain facility systems including HVAC, dock equipment, plumbing, electrical, and building infrastructure.
- Manage maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and work orders.
- Coordinate outside contractors and specialized service providers.
- Support OSHA compliance, facility safety, and housekeeping initiatives.
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
- Five (5) or more years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working with PLCs, industrial controls, drives, and machine communications.
- Experience maintaining manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Experience developing or executing preventative maintenance programs.
- Leadership experience supervising or coordinating maintenance personnel.
- Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
At Standard Fiber, maintenance is more than repairing equipment—it's about keeping production moving, supporting our customers, and improving the reliability of our operation.
You’ll join a collaborative operations team where your technical expertise, leadership, and ideas will be valued. If you enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and taking ownership of your work, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.
This Role Is a Great Fit If You…- Enjoy diagnosing difficult equipment problems.
- Like finding the root cause—not just replacing parts.
- Prefer working in a manufacturing environment where every day presents a new challenge.
- Take pride in preventing downtime before it happens.
- Enjoy leading technicians and helping others succeed.
- Want a role where your work directly impacts production and operational performance.
- Your experience is primarily residential or commercial building maintenance.
- You have limited experience working with industrial manufacturing equipment.
- You prefer a position focused solely on facility maintenance rather than production equipment.
- You are looking for a role with minimal hands‑on troubleshooting or leadership responsibilities.
