Maintenance Associate

Job Summary

Oversees, maintains, and performs non-skilled repairs on equipment and other structures within a distribution center.

• Complete basic building maintenance tasks or work with vendors on more complex tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical lighting, HVAC, and material handling equipment repairs.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for distribution associates.
• Perform limited preventative maintenance inspections on assigned warehouse equipment assets and buildings.
• Deliver equipment status reports on open and closed maintenance work orders.
• Provide operational support for general warehouse duties.
• Assist with parts inventory management and report maintenance problems to management.
• Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, and other powered equipment.
• Ensure hazardous materials are properly stored, managed, and maintained.

• 1+ years of experience performing general building maintenance functions.
• Experience with painting, general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanical building construction of commercial properties.
• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
• Generally, 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Must lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for periods up to and exceeding 60 minutes, and perform repetitive movements such as using a 10‑key or calculator, bending, or squatting. Requires exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Physical environment may require overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
