Position Summary

The Coordinator of Dual Credit, Dual Degree, and Advanced Placement (AP) serves as a district-level leader supporting the expansion, implementation, and alignment of early college and college-level academic programs across all three Proviso high schools. The Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Career and Technical Education & Early College and collaborates with school administrators, counselors, teachers, and postsecondary partners to ensure access, equity, compliance, and excellence in dual credit, dual degree, and AP programs.

This role helps drive the district's college readiness initiatives and ensures alignment with graduation requirements, state accountability systems, and postsecondary success outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Serve as the district liaison to postsecondary partners (e.g., Triton College) to manage all aspects of dual credit and dual degree programming, including course alignment, instructor credentialing, and student eligibility.

* Collaborate with AP teachers, school administrators, and department chairs to support the growth, quality, and fidelity of Advanced Placement programs.

* Monitor and maintain compliance with ISBE, ICCB, and College Board policies and procedures for dual credit, dual degree, and AP coursework.

* Collect and analyze data related to participation, performance, and equity in early college and AP programs to inform improvement strategies and annual reporting requirements.

* Provide guidance and training to counselors and staff on eligibility requirements, scheduling, student outreach, and transcript management related to early college and AP programs.

* Lead student and family outreach events, including dual credit/AP informational sessions, registration nights, and college readiness workshops.

* Coordinate administration of Advanced Placement exams and ensure adherence to College Board guidelines across all sites.

* Ensure that all dual credit and dual degree students are appropriately enrolled, tracked, and supported throughout the academic year.

* Develop marketing materials and communication plans to promote early college and AP offerings within the district and local community.

* Collaborate with building-level teams to schedule dual credit and AP courses within the master schedule and support vertical alignment from grades 9-12.

* Support articulation agreements and curriculum alignment between Proviso Township High Schools and higher education partners.

* Serve as a point of contact for parent and student inquiries about early college opportunities and AP coursework.

* Assist in developing budgets for AP and dual credit programming and ensure responsible use of funds.

* Support grant writing, reporting, and auditing processes related to early college and AP programs.

* Other duties as assigned by the Director of Career and Technical Education & Early College and/or the Deputy Superintendent of Educational Services.

Required Qualifications

* Master's Degree in Education or related field

* Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) - Preferred

* Minimum of two (2) years of successful teaching or administrative experience in a secondary or postsecondary setting

* Deep knowledge of early college models, dual credit policies, and/or AP course design

* Demonstrated ability to use data for program evaluation and improvement

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in a collaborative environment

* High degree of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

* Administrative Endorsement (General Administrative or Principal Endorsement)

* Previous experience coordinating dual credit, early college, or AP programs

* Experience working directly with higher education institutions and College Board

* Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

* Familiarity with Power School, Naviance, or other student information systems

* Experience with Illinois Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness (PWR) Act and PaCE Framework

Working Conditions and Expectations

* Occasional travel between campuses and to postsecondary partners

* Light lifting of materials and supplies required for events

* Maintain emotional control under stress; ability to manage fast-paced deadlines
