POSITION TITLE:

Cafeteria Monitor (4 hours per day)

REPORTS TO:

Building Security Manager

Principal

Level: Education Support Personnel

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience or Training

High School Diploma or equivalent

Must be dependable, punctual, cooperative, and have neat appearance

Must be physically able to perform all duties of the job

Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and public

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Security training a plus

Special Requirements of the Position

Ability to communicate with diverse groups and positively represent the school.

Interact with co-workers and students in a courteous, tactful, and pleasant manner, sometimes in stressful and busy situations.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Supervise students in cafeteria; student conduct is the responsibility of the supervisor.

* Maintain acceptable student behavior and conduct in the eating area.

* Maintain a professional attitude while disciplining students.

* Enforces procedures consistently; enforces good lunchroom manners; running and misconduct shall not be tolerated

* Maintain a strong attendance record

* Gain understanding of school procedures

* Additional duties as assigned
