Esl Science Teacher

Full-time high school teaching position. Minimum required qualifications include a bachelor's degree or eligibility for an educator license with stipulations (ESL) endorsement. Valid Illinois professional educators license (PEL) or educator license with stipulations (ELS) for grades 9-12. Endorsement:
English as a second language (ESL) (grades 9-12) and any of the following: science - biology (grades 9-12), science - chemistry (grades 9-12), science - earth & space (grades 9-12), science - environmental (grades 9-12), science - physics (grades 9-12).

Essential duties and responsibilities include instructional competencies, classroom management competencies, and professionally related competencies. Performance evaluation will be in accordance with provisions of the evaluation of personnel, as outlined in the current agreement between the board of education, Proviso Township High Schools District No. 209, Cook County, Illinois and the Proviso Teachers Union, Local 571, AFL-CIO.
