Social Studies Teacher
Full-time high school teaching position. Minimum required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree or meets minimum requirements to be eligible for an Educator License with Stipulations (ESL) Endorsement. Valid Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) for grades 9-12. Endorsement:
Any of the following:
Social Science
- Economics (Grades 9-12), Social Science
- Geography (Grades 9-12), Social Science
- History (Grades 9-12), Social Science
- Political Science (Grades 9-12), Social Science
- Psychology (Grades 9-12), Social Science
- Sociology & Anthropology (Grades 9-12).
Desired qualifications include a Master's Degree and/or Doctorate Degree, previous high school teaching experience, certified ESL, High School or Bilingual Certification, Bilingual Endorsement (grades 9-12), ESL Endorsement (grades 9-12), Special Education Endorsement (LBS1), Bilingual (English/Spanish), and multiple subject area endorsements.
Essential duties and responsibilities include instructional competencies, classroom management competencies, and professionally related competencies.
