Summary: Provides daily technical support to staff and students across district buildings. This position focuses on troubleshooting and maintaining computers, devices, instructional technology, software applications, and basic system configurations. Coordinates device deployment, resolves Helpdesk requests, and supports classroom technology to ensure smooth day - to - day operations of the district's technology environment.

Essential Functions
  • Provides frontline daily technical support for computers, laptops, tablets, printers, classroom technology, and instructional devices to ensure minimal disruption to teaching and learning.
  • Responds to Helpdesk tickets by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and user account issues in a timely and customer - focused manner.
  • Installs, configures, and updates software and operating systems across district devices, including imaging, application deployment, and patching.
  • Assists staff and students with technology use, including troubleshooting login issues, application errors, device malfunctions, classroom tech setup, and general user questions.
  • Maintains and tracks technology inventory, including device assignments, repairs, replacements, and lifecycle planning.
  • Supports classroom technology systems such as projectors, interactive panels, sound systems, document cameras, and peripherals; performs setup, calibration, and basic repairs.
  • Coordinates device rollouts (student 1:1 devices, staff computers, carts, labs) including preparation, distribution, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Assists with account management including password resets, permissions updates, and verification of user access to district systems.
  • Escalates complex issues to senior technology staff, working collaboratively to ensure quick resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance on computers, classroom equipment, and peripheral devices to ensure reliability and extend device lifecycle.
  • Supports cloud-based and instructional platforms (Microsoft 365, Power School, Schoology, Google Workspace) by assisting users with access, navigation, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends and updates in educational technology, computer systems, and software tools to improve support practices and technology planning.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, carrying out all responsibilities efficiently, promptly, and dependably.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Knowledge and applied understanding of a wide range of hardware and software in diverse technology environments.
  • Three (3) years of successful experience in a position working with network and electronic data systems, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A satisfactory driving record with a valid commercial driver's license, class B with passenger endorsement.
Desired Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Educational Technology or related field, preferred.
  • Proficiency in multiple modes of communications (e.g., voice, data, messaging).
  • Knowledge of hardware and software applications.
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and practices.
  • Ability to approach problems and issues from multiple perspectives and to recommend multiple applications of technology to address district needs.
  • Progressive experience with education-related technology tools and applications desired.
