Production Supervisor
Location:
Forest Park, IL.
Schedule:
4 pm–4 am, 4–3 shift.
- Supervise the execution of production and logistics plans through operators and other hourly labor in production and warehouse functions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of plans and policies to ensure compliance in all areas of responsibility.
- Operate production lines in accordance with FDA guidelines, GMPs, and HACCP/SQF program guidelines.
- Direct and guide operators and their activities in the execution of production and/or logistics plans (receiving, processing, mixing, baking, packaging, shipping, etc).
- Responsible for shift change management and communication as well as daily production standards and labor reconciliation.
- Develop employees to ensure compliance and achieve quality.
- Resolve problems and mitigate operational issues that result in negative performance.
- Support Lean Training as directed by Operations Manager.
- Own regulatory compliance and food safety processes, including proper sanitary condition, allergen control, pest control, food safety policy, employee safety policies and procedures, and maintaining MCRS sustainability standards.
- Participate in daily food review.
- Support and execute relevant projects as needed.
- High School diploma or GED required;
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field strongly preferred. - Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role in manufacturing.
- Previous manufacturing experience with experience managing complex continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP system.
- Understanding of GMP principles.
- Process, packing, and mechanical experience.
- Experience managing people, with ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of LEAN Manufacturing Principles.
- Experience using Red Zone (a plus).
- Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) pillars (a plus).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complexity.
- Independent, self‑sufficient with a strong sense of urgency.
Salary: $81,225–$113,715 annually.
Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, a 401(k), and paid time off (PTO). Eligible employees may also receive an annual bonus based on company performance.
