If you are a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to be paid well for doing real work, this role is for you. You will be the person keeping production lines moving inside a high-volume food manufacturing facility, where your work directly impacts what comes off the line every single day.
This company is one of the most recognized names in the candy and confectionery industry, producing products that are sold nationwide. The facility is located in Forest Park, IL and this is a fully onsite position. You will be working inside an active, production-driven plant where the maintenance team plays a direct role in keeping things moving.
This is a direct hire position at one of the most recognizable legacy facilities in the area, a plant that has been part of the community for years and is still growing. You will be working on some of the most popular candy products on the market right now, which makes for a genuinely fun culture that is hard to find in most manufacturing environments.

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace malfunctioning mechanical and electrical components including motors, sensors, switches, gears, sprockets, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production and packaging equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency
- Install and adjust change parts on production machinery when switching between product sizes, shapes, or formats
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and ladder logic to diagnose problems and identify the correct parts and procedures
- Communicate equipment status to supervisors and incoming shift mechanics through maintenance records and direct handoff
Schedule:
4am-4:30pm, rotating schedule
Hourly Compensation: $38/hr + overtime
Maintenance Technician Qualifications- 3 years of industrial maintenance mechanic experience, OR a 2-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field plus 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems including gears, sprockets, chains, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Basic electrical experience including 240-480v motors, wiring, switches, sensors, and AC and DC circuits
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and machinery manuals
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred but not required
