Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Plan and oversee daily nursing activities, administer medications, and complete required documentation
- Maintain patient confidentiality and perform professional nursing services such as catheterization, wound care, and IV care
- Foster a warm and collaborative environment and coordinate with physicians to ensure safety protocols are followed
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to meet residents' needs
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a current unencumbered state license
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
- Experience in Long Term Care is preferred
- Willingness to take additional training or education, which specific states may require
- CPR and First Aid certifications required
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
- Competent in organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Required to sit, stand, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the workday
- May be required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Include a medical and physical examination
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
