HVAC and Building Systems Technician Associate
The HVAC Technician helps install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems that control temperature and air quality in buildings. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone with basic knowledge in mechanics, problem-solving, and working with tools and equipment.

Job Duties:
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems.
- Help inspect and repair fans, motors, pumps, filters, and thermostats.
- Learn to use tools, gauges, and meters to test and adjust equipment.
- Support senior technicians with routine maintenance, such as cleaning coils and replacing filters.
- Help monitor building systems like chillers, boilers, and cooling towers.
- Follow safety rules and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Record maintenance activities and report problems to supervisors.
- Snow removal
- Enter school dude for building repairs and closeout when complete
- General maintenance duties and responsibilities.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the administration.
Skills and Abilities:
- Interest in working with your hands and learning mechanical systems.
- Ability to follow directions and work safely.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic math and problem-solving ability.
- Dependable and willing to learn new skills.
Education and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Technical or trade school training in HVAC (preferred but not required).
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (may be required).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work indoors or outdoors in various weather.

Selection Process:
All applicants must complete a District application to be considered for employment. Applications will be reviewed. Interviews of selected qualified applicants will be conducted, and a qualified candidate will be recommended by the hiring supervisor to the Office of Human Resources.
