JOB OVERVIEWUnder the direction of the General Manager, the Janitorial Project Manager is responsible for managing the cost, submittals, logistics, labor and project tasks with a specialized focus on delivery in response to specific contract statements of work as proposed to federal government agencies. The Janitorial Project Manager coordinates and oversees the work of personnel performing janitorial services.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee activities directly related to providing janitorial services.
- Receive assignments and establish timelines and goals to execute assignments.
- Apply quality oversight principles to service delivery issues, in compliance with contract specifications.
- Train and supervise assigned staff; responsibilities include:
- Interviewing and selecting employees
- Coordinating transfers, reassignments, terminations, and disciplinary actions
- Ensuring substitute coverage as necessary
- Create schedules and prioritize services effectively
- Prepare and manage budgets
- Coordinate requisitioning and purchasing of janitorial service supplies and equipment
- Control and authorize expenditures within established limitations and purchasing rules
- Develop contract specifications and scope of work
- Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety standards
- Instruct employees in safety procedures
- Perform incidental tasks related to the position
- Carry out various duties, as assigned, to support the overall goals of the team while maintaining a positive attitude
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred minimum of 5 years in custodial services and managed up to 1 million square feet of administrative space a year within the past 3 years
- Experience in writing custodial procedures and the ability to plan and organize work schedules
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening
- Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and demonstrate a safe, responsible driving history. A motor vehicle record check will be conducted.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, and Skype for Business
- CBA/Government contracting experience preferred
- Experience in Alaska Native Corporations preferred
