Position: Locksmith with Security Clearance
Duties
* Provide maintenance for locks, keys, and locking devices within a medical treatment facility (MTF) or surrounding clinics.
* Provide entry of malfunctioning locks within an MTF.
* Assist with implementing the key control plan for an organization.
* Modify and rework locking devices to accomplish special security objectives.
* Examine locking devices to determine if they have been tampered with to include disassembling the locks; closely inspecting locks for tool marks, abrasions, and misaligned parts.
* Repair, replace or fabricate parts covered by manufacturer parts catalogs and specifications for locking devices. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position
* This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
* This position may require the incumbent to work on any day or shift, including PMs, nights, weekends, holidays, or on an "on call" basis, necessary to meet mission requirements.
* This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
* Incumbent may be required to travel outside the commuting area to complete developmental training.
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
* This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license to operate a government vehicle.
* This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
* Appointment may require a suitability/fitness determination.
* This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
* Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
