Pay Rate: $27.96/hr
About the RoleThis position performs general maintenance and repairs on building and equipment such as pumps, motors, and other plant machinery. The role requires practical skills and knowledge in various mechanical and chemistry areas.
What You'll Be Doing- Replacing filters, belts, pumps, and motors, cleaning, painting, and changing fluids and filters.
- Working on top of buildings, in mechanical rooms, outdoors, and other locations to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Consistently producing quality products and services.
- Completing all required training within the required timeline.
- Performing all work safely and securely.
- Completing other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years related experience or formal vocational/technical training in a variety of building and/or utility trades.
- Each year of accredited college education in a related field may substitute for an equivalent year of required experience.
- Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier
1) background check. - Ability to access government worksite and work in high-volume office areas.
- Team or independent work capability with flexibility to change jobs on short notice.
- Positive teamwork and customer service skills.
- Accurate record keeping and communication skills.
- English speaking, reading, and writing proficiency.
- Practical knowledge of worksite safety and occupational hazards.
- Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work at heights up to 40 feet.
- Capacity to stand, sit, bend, climb ladders, crawl, kneel, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and noise levels.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid state driver’s license and safe driving record for company vehicle operation.
- Successful completion of drug/alcohol test and criminal record check.
