Position Summary

This position provides general labor and research farm support for the Arkansas Valley Research Center.

• Research field production and maintenance (planting, irrigation, and general research plot upkeep)
• Experimental crop planning and harvesting
• General maintenance and repair of facilities, grounds, and equipment

• Provide documentation to verify identity and authorization to work.
• Demonstrated communication skills and ability to understand verbal and written instructions (English).
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with or without direct supervision.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of this position, which include heavy lifting up to 50 lbs and manual dexterity, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling.
• Ability to work in environmental conditions including exposure to weather and noise.
• Ability to accommodate Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA) and meet seasonal demands and varied work hours extending into night and/or weekend.

• Experience working with large-scale irrigation systems.
• Experience in a research or compliance-oriented environment.
• Working knowledge of agriculture crops relevant to the AVRC.
• Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one by start date, or access to a licensed driver.

$14.81 to $18.00 per hour, hourly salary commensurate with experience.
