Job TitleWinter 26/27:
Snow making Controller
Accountable for continuous monitoring and efficient operation of the snow making plant's process control system.
Compensation and Benefits- Proposed hiring rate of $24.50 to $27.40+, adjusted based on experience.
- Seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts.
- Various discount programs (food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.).
- Operate and monitor pump and compressor systems.
- Monitor the ongoing snow making process control system to obtain efficient operation and productive results.
- Communicate and instruct crew members about available resources (air and water) to maintain maximum production goals.
- Make snow according to standard operating practices and safety procedures as instructed by manuals.
- Offer continual training and assistance to Level I Snowmakers on operational and safety practices.
- Operate all transportation vehicles as per standard operating procedures.
- Undertake general building maintenance and housekeeping on a daily basis.
- Maintain snow making equipment as directed.
- Ensure slopes are properly marked and/or signed when snow making is in progress on open slopes.
- Assist in effective communication with other departments when required.
- Assist with all other duties assigned.
- Overtime may be required.
- Honest and possesses the highest integrity.
- Capable of handling and managing confidential information.
- Professional appearance and adheres to grooming guidelines.
- Follows established policies and procedures.
- Supportive of core values.
- Sets an example for others and is always above reproach.
- Comfortable with challenging established policies when appropriate.
- Organized in tasks and sees projects through to completion.
- Good follow-through and habit of following up on issues.
- Can handle fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

- Able to work any hours of the day and any days of the week.
- Able to perform in severe and inclement conditions and terrain for sustained periods.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must have a valid US Driver's license.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a proficient skier or rider.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Position may require use of mountain radio or walkie-talkies for communication.
- Engineering or related background helpful.
- Snow making experience of one to two years.
- Snow-cat experience helpful.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Colorado Snowmobile Certified.
