Compensation & Benefits- Proposed hiring rate of $18.00 to $19.80+, actual pay adjusted based on experience.
- Seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts.
- Discount programs available (food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.).
Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the outdoor areas for which the base operations department is responsible. Operate the tools and equipment of the department in a safe, efficient and effective manner to complete all assignments and duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide daily labor for village and base area maintenance: removal of loose trash, emptying of assigned trash cans, removal of excess dirt and sand, sweeping, graffiti removal, etc.
- Provide courteous, accurate information to guests regarding weather & ski reports, special events, and services such as lift ticket offices, trail maps, ski rental shops, retail shops, restaurants, lodging, and ski school registration.
- Maintain knowledge of Cypress Mountain Village: fire access routes, building and lift names, ski rack locations, trash can locations, ski trail names, and other relevant details.
- Maintain signs, walkways, sidewalks, snow removal, marking hazards, sweeping, ice removal, traction control, and adequate drainage.
- Maintain ski racks, village fixtures (trash cans, tie walls, drains, light posts, display vehicles, benches, etc.).
- Mark hazards and obstacles to ensure safety for guests and employees.
- Develop proficient skills in departmental tools and light equipment, including power tools, hand tools, skid steer, tamper, sweeper, etc.
- Assist in general construction and maintenance projects and special event set-up, support, and tear down.
- Maintain equipment, vehicles, and tools; report repairs or replacements to the foreman or Vehicle Maintenance Department.
- Assist parking and traffic control crews on high-volume days.
- Deliver equipment and supplies, keeping accurate records and tracking costs.
- Operate village tow truck safely and efficiently; provide free jump‑start service to guests.
- Perform light maintenance and repairs on the village tow truck and other department vehicles.
- Remove abandoned vehicles from parking lots to support smooth parking operations.
- Record keeping of towed vehicles, including date, location, identification, issues, comments, and new location.
- Learn loader operator skills for snow removal, summer projects, and equipment relocation.
- Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License if required.
- Track labor hours, maintain attendance records, and assist in training new crew members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Vision: 20/20 eyesight or correctable to near 20/20.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- At least 18 years old.
- Use of mountain radio/walkie‑talkies for communication may be required.
- Great guest relations experience.
- Completion of a defensive driving course.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions outdoors.
- Willingness to work overtime on short notice.
- Effective verbal communication with guests and employees.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Acceptance of early morning or late afternoon shifts.
- Desire to increase construction and equipment skills.
- Attention to high standards in finish detail and appearance.
- Willingness to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License with training for CORE positions.
