Are You a Match?

Required

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Welding, Manufacturing, Automation, Fabrication, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.)
  • At least ten years welding industry experience.
  • Experienced in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW, OFC and PAC
  • Thorough understanding of most welding processes and welding equipment used in metal fabrication shops, fabrication procedures, and practices.
  • Experienced with manual welding techniques, mechanized equipment, fixed and Flexible welding automation, and CNC cutting systems highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of electricity, electronics, control systems, and power distribution - preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Ohm's law in electrical applications - preferred.
  • One or more of the following six Certifications - CWI (Certified Welding Inspector), CWS (Certified Welding Supervisor), CWE (Certified Welding Educator), NCCER Instructor, Core & Welding (National Center for Construction Education and Research), ASNT ACCP Level I, II or III, CWEng (Certified Welding Engineer)
  • Valid State Drivers license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TQM, Lean, or Six Sigma background - preferred
  • OSHA 10 Hour or OSHA 30 Hour card - preferred
  • TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification) card - preferred
  • CWSR (Certified Welding Sales Representative) - preferred
  • Membership within organizations such as AWS, ASM, ASNT, ASQ, ASME and SME - preferred
  • Bi-lingual - preferred
