Custodian - Part-Time Evening

Position Summary

The CSU Health Network at Colorado State University provides a full range of cost-effective mental health and primary care medical services on campus, referral for community specialty care, and comprehensive health education and prevention services programming. The Custodian position is critical in providing a clean and sanitary environment by performing housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, floor maintenance, minor repairs and painting, and waste collection services in all areas of the CSU Health Network.

This is a part‑time, evening position, with a typical work schedule of 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Friday. These hours may vary slightly between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., depending on mutual individual and business needs.

We are hiring two positions, 20 and 25 hours per week.

• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean building floors by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, shampooing, and/or scrubbing.
• Gather and empty trash and recycling.
• Clean office spaces; dust furniture, machines, or equipment.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or building/grounds maintenance issues.
• Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Collect soiled laundry and sort/prepare for delivery to off-site service; fold and put away clean laundry.
• Minor repairs and painting.

• Pre-employment Physical
  - Ability to successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination.
• Essential Services Designation
  - Ability to work during a business closure in order to meet operational requirements.
• Use, Handling, or Exposure to hazardous materials
  - Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Special Requirements/Other
  - Health Network follows CDC guidelines for Employee Health in a healthcare setting, including proof of vaccinations. Employees must show proof of compliance/willingness to comply by start date.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Cleaning experience in a commercial environment.

• Experience providing custodial services in a medical environment.
• Operating knowledge of and experience with custodial equipment including vacuum cleaners, shampoo machines, wet/dry vacuums, floor scrubbing and/or polishing machines, buffing and/or other related cleaning operations.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning products.

The full-time annualized salary range is $39,852 - $41,844, which will be adjusted for working either 20 hours per week ($20,922) or 25 hours per week ($26,152).
