Brief Description
Position Summary: Resolve Academy’s Facility Assistant is responsible for assisting in the oversight and maintenance of the T/V Resolve Vision facility. Areas of responsibility include ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the equipment, the facility’s outlying structures and property as well as assisting in the oversight of any capital improvements to the facility and onsite classroom/ office spaces. The Facility Manager Assistant may be required to fill in as an instructor on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities- Assist the Facility Manager in ensuring the Resolve Vision facility is kept in a state of good repair; identifying and bringing to the Facility Manager’s attention any maintenance and repair needs that are beyond general daily efforts.
- Responsible for maintaining facility and surrounding grounds in good order.
- Provide support to instructors in the management of fire, damage control, and personal protective equipment.
- Responsible for filling firefighting air tanks (SCBAs).
- Responsible for onsite laundry, if mechanical laundry machine issues arise, readily notifies Facility Manager.
- Assist in maintaining a complete inventory of Resolve Academy apparel and distribute as directed. Ensure apparel inventory is maintained to levels which reflect a high state of readiness should multiple jobs occur at the same time.
- Maintain all equipment in support of the T/V Resolve Vision to ensure proper working order at all times.
- Assist in ensuring the inspection and maintenance documentation of all equipment, as required.
- Assist in coordinating Academy company vehicle (non-DOT) repairs and maintenance programs (trucks, forklifts & etc.). Assist in maintaining vehicle maintenance schedule for Academy vehicles.
- Assist in maintaining a complete inventory of Resolve Academy apparel and distribute as directed. Ensure apparel inventory is maintained to levels which reflect a high state of readiness should multiple jobs occur at the same time.
- Maintain all equipment in support of the T/V Resolve Vision to ensure proper working order at all times
- Assist in ensuring the inspection and maintenance documentation of all equipment, as required.
- Assist in coordinating Academy company vehicle (non-DOT) repairs and maintenance programs (trucks, forklifts & etc.). Assist in maintaining vehicle maintenance schedule for Academy vehicles.
- Assist in generating requisitions/purchase orders in accordance with policy. The Facility Manager will be responsible for obtaining purchase approvals.
- Maintain a base line of spare parts for the Resolve Vision and related equipment.
- Track all repairs to include costs incurred and inspection of repairs.
- All other collateral duties as assigned.
- Scott SCBA certified technician/or ability to pass training within 6 months of hire.
- Time served as USCG member, preferred.
- Florida State Fire Certificate, preferred.

Up to 0 % travel is required. If additional travel is required beyond the specified amount, based on the operational demand, you will be notified accordingly so arrangements can be made.
