Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a Diesel Truck Mechanic for our client in Fort Lauderdale. The Truck Mechanic is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the maintenance and repair of various types of mobile equipment in the Company’s shop or on public roadways as necessary and maximizes equipment availability using efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs. This position ensures compliance with all standards, policies, and regulations for safe, environmentally sound maintenance activities.
Responsibilities- Provide mechanical maintenance, including repairs and lubrication.
- Repair and maintain air brakes, vehicle air conditioning, and hydraulics.
- Repair and maintain truck electrical systems, i.e., 12V &/or 24 VDC.
- Report equipment breakdowns to generate work orders.
- Prepare work orders.
- Keep the equipment being operated, clean and safe.
PR: $26-27 per hour

At least 2 to 5 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic working on commercial trucks or manufacturing equipment or both.
General knowledge of a truck’s electrical system, hydraulic components, drive line and suspension, air brakes and their components + mobile AC Control.
Able to work 12 hr. plus shifts as needed, flexible hours (may be working early shift).
Able to work nights and weekends as needed.
HS diploma or equivalent.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience- Have a current Commercial Driver’s License, preferred.
- ASE Certifications.
