OverviewUnder minimal direction, responsible for aligning bags to ensure they enter the EDS machines.
Responsibilities- Aligns luggage to ensure it enters the EDS machine without jamming.
- Move baggage from default pier and make‑up units to carts and deliver to appropriate location.
- Operate Manual Encode Station using a handheld barcode reader.
- Assist with clearing bag jams throughout the system.
- Complete all safety training as assigned by the Company.
- Comply with all ELS safety programs, policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties/assignments that may be required by management from time to time.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- Ability to work a non‑traditional schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Previous work experience in an Airport environment.
- Any mechanical/electrical experience.
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
- Ability to take care of customer needs while following company procedures.
- Ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards.

Basic computer knowledge. Ability to log in, retrieve and answer emails and take training.
Other Requirements- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Security badge.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Company's insurance policy.
- Must be able to comply with the ELS Drug and Alcohol policy.
The physical demands of this position vary by day and include frequent lifting and carrying of loads up to 21‑50 lbs; occasional handling of loads over 50 lbs; and the ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, and climb frequently. Additional criteria such as reach, crawl, and balance also apply.
Work EnvironmentWorks under the Airport Terminal. May be around dust, dirt, moving machinery, temperature changes, heights, and noise levels below OSHA minimum requirements. Use of PPE is required.
