Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.50 / hour

The Floor Technician is a specialized Environmental Services professional responsible for the advanced cleaning, maintenance, and restoration of all floor surfaces within the facility, including hard flooring and carpeted areas. This includes scrubbing, stripping, refinishing, buffing/burnishing, and carpet shampooing/extraction. The Floor Technician ensures all areas meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and infection prevention, contributing to patient experience and regulatory compliance.

The role supports patient care operations, minimizes infection risks, and maintains the aesthetic and functional quality of the healthcare environment.

• Perform cleaning, maintenance, and restoration of all floor surfaces (hard flooring and carpet) using appropriate methods and equipment.
• Execute tasks such as scrubbing, stripping, refinishing, buffing/burnishing, carpet shampooing, and extraction.
• Ensure areas meet cleanliness, safety, and infection prevention standards.
• Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment and apply appropriate chemicals according to protocols.
• Follow detailed environmental sanitation protocols and supports patient care operations as needed.
• Uphold the safety, aesthetics, and functional quality of the healthcare environment.
