Job SummarySummer schedule with approximately 20 hours/week. Hiring up to five individuals. Positions include Park Worker 1, 2, and 3 with varying responsibilities and skill levels under general or limited supervision.
Park Worker 1 Responsibilities- Guest Services:
Assist visitors/campers by providing information, answering questions, explaining rules, and directing park users to day use areas. - Collect entrance fees using point‑of‑sale software.
- Observe park compliance with rules and cleanliness.
- Cleans and tidies restrooms and cabins, replenishes supplies, and addresses light maintenance issues.
- Use maintenance vehicles when required.
- Perform unskilled maintenance tasks as needed.
- Work independently and collaboratively with park, maintenance, and special event staff.
- General groundskeeping and maintenance duties for Liberty Lake Regional Park.
- Perform interior and exterior custodial services of restrooms and shelters (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, debris removal).
- Assist with firewood hauling, mowing, fertilizing, and minor repairs within the park and campground.
- All duties of Park Worker 1.
- Perform semi‑skilled maintenance tasks under general supervision.
- Supervise recreational activities, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing staff coverage.
- Operate light‑duty power equipment and drive a pickup truck with trailer.
- All duties of Park Workers 1 and 2.
- Perform maintenance tasks requiring considerable skill under limited supervision.
- Supervise and coordinate work of lower‑level employees; conduct complex special projects.
- Operate medium‑duty equipment and perform minor repairs to power and hand tools and vehicles.
- Assign, direct, and train unskilled employees; may serve as a park supervisor.
- Park Worker 1:
Any combination of training and experience demonstrating knowledge and abilities for the assignment; typical 3‑month experience suffices. - Park Worker 2:
Any combination of training and experience demonstrating knowledge and abilities for the assignment; typical 3‑month experience suffices. - Park Worker 3:
Any combination of training and experience demonstrating knowledge and abilities for the assignment; typical 6‑month experience suffices. - Prior supervisory experience may be required for positions with supervisory responsibilities.
- Background Check:
All positions require successful clearance of a Washington State Patrol inquiry as required under the Child and Adult Abuse Information Act. - Age:
Must be at least 16 years of age at time of hire. - Driver’s License:
Certain positions may require a valid driver’s license. Softball field prep staff requires a valid driver’s license and generally works 7.5 hours per day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., often including weekends.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability for the particular assignment.
