Job DescriptionPurpose: The Custodian provides a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean environment to ensure full and productive use of district facilities.
Reports To: Facility Director, Custodial Lead
General Expectations:
- Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers, and students.

- Ability to perform responsibilities without close supervision.
- Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and supervisors.
- Ability to meet attendance standards to perform the essential functions of the job.

- Communicate pleasantly and effectively with all the members of the school district and community.
- Provide excellence in customer service both internally and externally.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Ensure that all activities conform to district, state, and federal guidelines.

- Adhere to all district health and safety policies, including all precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan.
- Operate all equipment safely and appropriately.
- Ensure classrooms, student gathering areas, restrooms, corridors and office areas are cleaned daily according to district specifications.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors using appropriate cleaners and tools.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Gather and empty trash; service, clean, or supply restrooms.
- Report damaged school property immediately to the Principal and the Facility Director.
- Move furniture or equipment within buildings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by building Principal or the Facility Director.

- Level 4 – Heavy Work:
Exerting 20 - 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly. - Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment.
- Frequent stooping, bending, reaching, kneeling, crawling and turning.
- Requires climbing and balancing; lifting, moving and carrying items up to 50 lbs.
