Job DescriptionPosition Title: Utility Crew
FLSA: Non Exempt
Reports To: Utility Foremanand Supervisor of Maintenance
Beginning: July 1, 2026
Terms of Employment: A full contract for this position is 240 days, with benefits as specified in employee contract. Contract will be prorated based on actual start date.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Commercial / light industrial preferred.
- Arkansas Pesticide Applicator License from the Arkansas State Plant board preferred.
- Custodial experience preferred.
- Lawn care experience preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height occasionally.
- Ability to push/pull a minimum of 20 pounds frequently.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Repair playground equipment and school furniture.
- Perform substitute custodial duties as requested by supervisor.
- Must be able to use hand tools and power tools to landscape school yards (i.e., lawn mower, weed trimmer, chainsaw) and other equipment and duties as required.
- Maintain equipment.
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others. This includes using personal protective equipment (PPE), following proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Be available for occasional non-work-day emergencies.
- Maintains prompt and regular attendance
- Must be willing to work overtime or after hours whenever needed.
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
- Must be able to work independently, sometimes with minimal supervision.
- Attend meetings as scheduled by supervisors and district administration.
- Maintain a professional relationship with students, faculty, administration, and community patrons.
- Ability to perform physical labor in hot and cold outdoor environments.
- Ability to climb up and down ladders of various heights.
- Other duties as assigned by administration.
