Maintenance Custodian Associate

Position Summary

As a Maintenance Associate at Sam’s Club, you ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment for members and associates. You are on your feet throughout the shift, sweeping, mopping, maintaining restrooms, operating floor scrubbers, handling hazardous materials, and ensuring parking lots, restrooms, floors and windows remain clean. A positive attitude and focus on member satisfaction are essential.

• Maintain safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures and guidelines, including safety sweeps and proper forklift spotting.
• Follow procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials and correct/report unsafe situations to management.
• Clean all areas of the facility, including floors, windows, restrooms, waste receptacles, using approved chemicals and equipment.
• Respond to spills, operate floor scrubbers, dispose of cardboard, plastic and trash in accordance with the Environmental Sustainability Program.
• Maintain appropriate levels of approved chemicals and supplies, rotating and storing them properly and ordering when supplies are low.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
