Seeking a custodian for a full time, 2nd shift position. This position is Monday - Friday from 2:30PM - 10:30PM. Custodian positions are 260 days per year. Must have high school diploma or GED. Experience preferred, but not required.

General Cleaning and Maintenance:
  • Cleaning: Dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and buffing floors.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, restocking supplies (paper towels, soap, etc.).
  • Trash Removal: Emptying trash receptacles and ensuring proper disposal.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Washing windows, walls, woodwork, and blinds.
  • Furniture and Fixture Maintenance: Dusting and cleaning desks, tables, lockers, and other furniture.
  • Shampooing/Steam Cleaning: Cleaning carpets and rugs.
Security and Safety:
  • Building Security: Locking and unlocking doors and windows, monitoring building activities, and ensuring the safety of students and staff.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Assisting with emergency procedures, such as lockdowns or evacuations.
Minor Maintenance and Repairs:
  • Equipment Maintenance: Performing minor maintenance on custodial equipment (e.g., changing vacuum cleaner belts, bags).
  • Light Bulb Replacement: Changing light bulbs and other minor repairs.
  • Fixture and Furniture Repair: Repairing minor damage to school fixtures and furniture.
Event Support:
  • Set-up and Clean-up: Assisting with set-up and clean-up for school events, such as assemblies, athletic events, and meetings.
  • Arranging Furniture: Arranging chairs, desks, and other furniture for events.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Communication: Reporting needed repairs or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Assisting with grounds maintenance tasks, such as picking up debris and shoveling snow.
  • All other duties as assigned by the building school principal.
