We are looking to hire a skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain the establishment and hotel equipment. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be required to install new equipment, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment faults on site. You may also be required to remove old equipment and train staff on equipment operating procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Always approaches all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Promotes a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
  • Patrols the interior and perimeter of the hotel to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
  • Maintains order in the hotel, dealing with the welfare of guests, and coordinates an expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, safety hazards, and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
  • Inspecting equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions, and conducting routine maintenance.
  • Servicing and replacing old or faulty equipment.
  • Removing old equipment and installing new machines.
  • Providing technical support and training on new equipment.
  • Be familiar with all applicable laws and codes to ensure proper compliance.
  • Memorizes and monitors the life safety system including the accurate layout of the entire building, locations of standpipes, fire extinguishers, completes alarm reports, and checks and reports any pertinent information from each shift.
  • Provides accurate information to inquirers for directions and hours of operations.
  • Assists guests with door lock and in-room safe problems.
  • Responds to guest complaints, conducts research to develop the most effective solutions.
  • Projects a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required; hospitality industry preferred.
  • Should be able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.
  • Have a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be a team player.
