Position: (USA) Janitor (Common Areas), Manufacturing - Award $22.30 (Sat-Mon 5am-5:30pm)

What you'll do

  • Performs general cleaning duties for common and office areas throughout the entire facility including bathrooms and windows.
  • Completes daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting surfaces, cleaning windows and emptying trash bins.
  • Responsible for minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing minor leaks, reporting any major maintenance issues to the management.
  • Follows safety procedures to ensure the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Ensures common areas are free from hazards such as wet floors and cluttered walkways.
  • Receives Hepatitis vaccinations in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Inspects common areas to identify damages or repairs needed and reports issues to the management team.
  • Adheres to all company safety procedures and guidelines, uses personal protective equipment.
  • Operates machinery and equipment safely.
  • Reports any hazards, near misses, injuries or accidents immediately.
  • Actively participates in safety trainings and drills.
  • Maintains cleanliness in work areas to prevent accidents.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of all safety protocols.
  • Demonstrates awareness of surroundings to ensure own safety and the safety of others.
  • Successfully accomplishes work assignments and prioritizes tasks using policies and available resources.
  • Collaborates effectively with managers, coworkers and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines and expectations.
  • Carries out assigned tasks, communicates progress and relevant information.
  • Actively identifies and suggests ways to address improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and a willingness to learn from change, difficulties and feedback.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties and feedback.
