PURPOSE

Performs maintenance tasks involving the assigned building and grounds during working hours set by the Director of Maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess oral and written communication skills, be willing to work flexible hours, and be able to work on a team.
• Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Paint the interior and exterior of district buildings and facilities to maintain proper appearance and protection from rust and decay: perform touch-up work as needed.
• Perform grounds maintenance & gardening activities involved in the beautification of district grounds, landscaped areas, playgrounds, and parking lots.
• Maintain wood floors in gymnasiums, multi‑purpose rooms, dance studios and other academic areas.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the administrator to meet the particular needs of the building/unit.

• Visual Acuity: Close vision ability with the capacity to adjust focus.
• Mobility: Freedom to sit or walk at will throughout the work environment.
• Strength and Stamina: Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to fifty (50) pounds or more.
• Outdoor Work: Tolerance of work outside in various weather conditions.
• Working Conditions: School-based assignments with possible travel between buildings.

Salary: $15 to $15 Per Hour
