Maintenance Technician
Fort Wayne, IN
Onsite, Permanent/Direct Hire, Full Benefits
$24-29/hour, 2/2/3 6p-6a, Shift prem.
The Maintenance Technician supports daily operations by troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and completing maintenance work orders. This role helps maintain facility equipment, improve asset uptime, and support operational safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks and maintain service records.
- Execute and close maintenance work orders.
- Support facility, equipment, and safety-related projects.
- Collaborate with operations teams to resolve equipment failures.
- Maintain spare parts inventory to support maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety procedures including LOTO, PPE, and equipment safety standards.
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing:
- Industrial motors and motor controls
- HVAC, chillers, pumps, and compressors
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Large mechanical or electro-mechanical equipment
- Metal fabrication skills (welding, machining) preferred.
