Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Summary
Utilizes knowledge of wiring schematics, electrical inspection procedures, electrician tools, and safety codes and regulations. Designs and deploys electrical solutions across environments and applications, leveraging significant experience with various electrical systems and projects.
Demonstrates expertise in electrical cabinet architecture to effectively develop and build cabinet systems. Implements and monitors controls to ensure quality of machine and component fabrication and design.
Responsibilities- Lead inspection activities for electrical systems, predict quality inspection trends, and recommend updates to maintain system efficiency.
- Oversee the maintenance of all electrical equipment and consult on electrician services in various environments, establishing norms, standards, and guidelines.
- Repair, maintain, and diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment in an industrial setting using advanced skills and experience with blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Interpret functional and technical blueprints, participate in structuring technical components, and maintain and update technical drawings and specifications throughout the equipment maintenance process.
- Translate process flow diagrams and equipment technical drawings to inspect critical equipment for compliance with drawings, specifications, and designs.
- Perform routine installation and maintenance tasks onsite by following technical drawings and specifications, utilizing knowledge of drafting tools and procedures.
- Lead and participate in teams, coordinate and execute work assignments, provide advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved.
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
- Promote and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, and assist management with addressing ethical and compliance issues.
- Model and support Walmart values, including integrity, community engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 5 years experience repairing, maintaining, and diagnosing mechanical or electrical equipment in an industrial setting.
- Experience working with blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Associate's Degree in Applied Technology (e.g., electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial maintenance, industrial technologies).
- Industrial Maintenance Certification.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Experience repairing or maintaining optical, pharmaceutical, mechanical, or electrical equipment in an industrial setting, using blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
