Maintenance – Seasonal (Riverfront) | Parks & Recreation

Pay: $15–$17/hr

Hours: 15–30 hrs/week, flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Summary: This seasonal maintenance role with Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation provides hands‑on experience maintaining facilities and grounds along the Riverfront. Incumbents will perform janitorial, groundskeeping, and minor maintenance tasks while following City safety protocols.

• Clean and maintain buildings, restrooms, grounds, and assigned areas
• Remove litter, debris, trash, and graffiti
• Assist trades crews and operate equipment safely
• Maintain work‑related reports and records
• Follow safety policies and guidelines
• Drive one-ton or small utility trucks as needed

• Minimum 18 years old, with three years of high school completed
• Effective communication skills, ability to follow instructions
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid Indiana Driver's License as required

• Frequently stand, walk, reach, handle objects, lift up to 75 lbs, and carry up to 25 ft
• Exposure to dust, pollen, extreme temperatures, and occasional hazardous conditions

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of applicable drug screening, physical examination, and background checks.
