Facilities Maintenance Supervisor (Full-Time)

Pay: $19.65 – $25.10 per hour
Schedule: Full-time with participation in an on-call rotation

Golden Years Homestead, a proud member of Greencroft Communities, is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. If you're an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, leading by example, and making a meaningful impact every day, we'd love to meet you.

In this role, you'll help ensure our Independent Living and Assisted Living communities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and team members. You'll work alongside a supportive leadership team while overseeing maintenance operations, preventive maintenance, and the overall appearance of our campus.

What You'll Do
  • Assist the Director of Facilities Maintenance with planning, coordinating, and completing daily maintenance operations.
  • Perform general building maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and repairs.
  • Complete preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe campus through snow removal, exterior maintenance, landscaping oversight, and general grounds care.
  • Inspect and maintain fire safety systems, generators, HVAC equipment, and other building systems.
  • Coordinate apartment and resident move-in preparation to ensure homes are ready on schedule.
  • Strip and wax floors and clean carpets as needed.
  • Order and maintain inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Coordinate work with outside contractors and communicate project updates with leadership.
  • Monitor maintenance team schedules, timekeeping, and daily priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, building codes, infection control standards, and company safety policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, inspections, audits, and required meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to provide outstanding service to our residents.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to maintenance emergencies when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of general building maintenance systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.
  • Understanding of building codes and workplace safety regulations.
  • Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot building systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and genuine interest in serving older adults.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical training or certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in facilities maintenance.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, and reach.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
