SVN Parke Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor / Building Engineer to join our facilities management team.
This role oversees the day-to-day facilities needs of a 26-story building while still being hands‑on. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and repair of building systems - including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical systems.
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent troubleshooting skills, management skills and the ability to work hands‑on while managing a team in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs of building systems and equipment.
- Monitor building systems and adjust as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure building operations comply with safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain logs and records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Respond promptly to tenant service requests and resolve issues efficiently.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance personnel.
- Prioritize work orders and delegate to maintenance staff to maintain optimal building operations.
- Monitor employee productivity and work quality.
- Scheduling and managing contractors.
Approving completed work.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of relevant commercial building/facilities experience.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on call for emergencies.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Trade school or technical certification.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Experience with commercial real estate / property management.
- Experience managing contractors and maintenance budgets.
