Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to manage the day‑to‑day operations and upkeep of our distribution center facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained work environment. The role involves general maintenance, coordinate with vendors, and assist with facility improvement projects while supporting sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance and repair tasks, including light carpentry, basic electrical work, HVAC troubleshooting, and grounds upkeep.
- Assist with facility construction and repair projects, estimating labor, materials, and associated costs.
- Serve as a liaison with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure quality, timely, and cost‑effective services.
- Support internal office moves, including furniture and partition setup.
- Develop and maintain facility plans, layouts, and operational improvements.
- Promote environmental sustainability by implementing energy‑saving and resource‑efficient practices.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff when needed.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Associate degree (or equivalent experience) with 3+ years in maintenance/facility operations; or high school diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing).
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
- Commitment to sustainability and continuous operational improvement.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
