Position: Pressure Washer (Facilities Cleaning)

The full hourly range for the position is ($19.47-$29.21) with an anticipated starting hourly rate between entry ($19.47) and midpoint ($24.34) of the range. It’s essential to note that the actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on several factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, education, certifications, training and internal equity considerations.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Pressure Washer (Facilities Cleaning) to join our Facilities Maintenance team. This position will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various properties including station platforms, sidewalks, parking lots, industrial equipment, vehicles and facility building exteriors, walls, roofs, ensuring a pleasant experience for riders. This role requires technical proficiency in operating pressure washing equipment, attention to detail, and a strong adherence to safety practices.

Summary

The position is a full‑time hourly role with a range of ($19.47-$29.21). Hours typically run from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with shift differential pay for third‑shift work. Successful candidates must be available to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • One (1) year of industry experience with high‑pressure and cleaning equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to fulfill the job duties.
Background Check

Employment is contingent upon the results of a background investigation.

License

Valid Arizona driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Shift & Hours

This position typically works 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM and is eligible for third‑shift differential pay. Candidates must be available to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize high‑pressure washing equipment to clean and maintain a variety of surfaces such as station platforms, sidewalks, parking lots, industrial equipment, vehicles, and facility building exteriors, walls, and roofs.
  • Perform cleaning services including trash pick‑up removal, facility cleaning, equipment/component cleaning, vehicle cleaning, special event coverage, and cleaning of blood borne pathogens, drug paraphernalia, and sharp objects.
  • Treat stained areas with chemical degreaser prior to washing and apply detergent safely as needed.
  • Paint walls to remove graffiti.
  • Operate and maintain the company‑provided hot water pressure washer and agency vehicles.
  • Order and maintain a stock of pretreatment chemicals; install normal wear parts that keep washing equipment operable; load and unload equipment from agency vehicles; check that equipment is in good working order and has an adequate water supply.
  • Prepare job sites by securing work areas, setting up equipment, and removing potential hazards; clear the job site and store all hoses and equipment correctly.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and meet agency standards.
  • Provide reports to supervisor indicating work performed, challenges, recommendations, and action items.
  • Read, understand, and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow all safety protocols to prevent damage or injury.
  • Manage job details, review daily tasks, and follow up with supervisor or designee.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Knowledge
  • Safe operation of high‑pressure and hot water washing equipment.
  • Proper use of cleaning chemicals, including hazardous materials protocols.
  • Safety practices, hazard recognition, and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cleaning and reporting.
  • Basic maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
