Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the building, grounds, utilities, and support systems to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. This role performs preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general upkeep of facility equipment and infrastructure while supporting overall operational needs.
Physical RequirementsStand or sit (stationary position), walk (move, traverse), use hand/fingers to handle or feel, climb stairs/ladders or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk/hear, see, push or pull, reach, and perform repetitive motion. Medium/Heavy work involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally or frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Job Function- Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and facility systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems.
- Repair and maintain building components including doors, windows, walls, flooring, and ceilings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve facility‑related issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain facility equipment such as air compressors, generators, boilers, and other support systems.
- Perform basic electrical work, including replacing outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and circuit components.
- Perform plumbing repairs including faucets, toilets, drains, and water lines.
- Coordinate and work with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects.
- Maintain exterior grounds, parking lots, walkways, and landscaping as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental requirements.
- Respond to facility emergencies and urgent maintenance requests.
- Maintain maintenance records, inspection logs, and work orders.
- Assist with facility improvement projects, office moves, and equipment installations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of facilities maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- General building maintenance and repair skills, including carpentry and painting.
- Basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficiency in the safe use of hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
