Cosmetic Associate - Paintless Dent Repair

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a variety of tasks including cosmetic dent repairs by using trained techniques and various tools on small to midsized dents
• Complete paintless dent removal/cosmetic repairs as necessary and review all completed work with a lead or supervisor
• Remove trim to gain access to a vehicle’s body and fenders
• Perform minor repairs such as small dents and light hail damage
• Work with Reconditioning Center Management to repair or reject inventory based on estimated cost of repairs and/or overall quality of the vehicle
• Identify and complete repairs effectively the first time to minimize re‑work and delays in production
• Work in ways that decrease the possibility of injury to yourself or other team members in the shop due to spills or other preventable hazardous conditions
• Promote teamwork and collaboration within the Reconditioning Center
• Adhere to Drive Time guidelines, policies and practices and act ethically and with integrity at all times and with all employees

• Must be proficient in automotive repairs
• Must be able to troubleshoot basic automotive concerns
• Must be able to communicate the causes and recommended corrections for vehicle issues
• Must be able to meet metric performance targets
• Must be able to learn and operate basic computer systems
• Must be organized and punctual
• Must maintain a safe and compliant workspace
• Must be able to learn and comply with all Drive Time standards
• High School Diploma or GED required;
  Certificate or Associate’s degree in automotive technology or 2+ years of automotive repair work experience equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• Must be at least 18 years old

Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights;

other lifting required from various levels. Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet. Requires standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance. Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.

Requires use of safety equipment that may include but is not limited to face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask and other protective garments and equipment. Requires some driving and frequent typing. Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance. Must be able to communicate in English to ensure effective performance of the position in a safety‑sensitive/technical environment.
