Job Shift: Morning

The individual selected for this position will clean and maintain the facility in excellent condition for all associates and customers.

• Know and actively demonstrate the Company Mission Statement and Core Values daily.
• Efficiently carry out all directives given by the Management Team with a sense of urgency.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Clean, disinfect, and supply restrooms.
• Remove waste and empty trash.
• Perform 2-hour disinfection and sterilization of all facility areas.
• Maintain cleaning charts indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.
• Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies.
• Organize janitorial storage areas.
• Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or needed repairs or maintenance.
• Handle basic maintenance building repairs and other janitorial work.
• Practice teamwork and cooperation with coworkers.
• Seek to continually improve related skills and knowledge to contribute to profitability and productivity.
• Undertake responsibilities with care and attention to detail.
• Work in accord with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA.
• Attendance and timeliness are required.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Age:
  Must be over 21 years old (state law requirement).
• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED preferred; 1–2 years of janitorial experience desirable.

  Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos; ability to talk and communicate with coworkers and guests.

  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals without a calculator; counting skills beneficial for inventory.

• Attendance:
  Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday and be available for 80% or more of all shifts each week; full‑time positions are typically 40 hours per week.

The job regularly requires standing, walking, or bending; use of hands and fingers; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; talking and hearing. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with proper tools. Ability to use an industrial machine to move pallets up to 2400 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Work is exposed to outside weather conditions while in warehouses. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.
